The over 20 year personal search for the perfect cigar is over (including a year abroad daily smoking across the entire Cuban portfolio). I want to smoke nothing else after trying hundreds of blends and brands.

Presmoke suggestion: go into this with a fresh palate unmarred by other cigars. Since the overall profile is a lighter medium, nuance and soft flavors of opening will be trampled on by lingering flavors and smokiness of other cigars. Though as cigar progresses the flavors will emerge through even a tainted palette.

Prelight wrapper flavor: sweet leather smoothness. Save the cut cap to enjoy as side chew for later!
Prelight dry draw: sweet fresh flower leather and deeper Sumatran tobacco sweetness
Combustion: warmly softens perfect roll
Burn: Razor sharp even burn line produces thick tight inch plus ash, sheered off with a medium finger tap.

Flavor and smoking experience: You can retrohale every draw, as its cool, sweet, smoothness layers the palette. The balanced oily sweet flavors of the draw coats all taste centers in the mouth and remains for as long as you can stand between the next retrohale and draw.
Second third flavors intensify. A nutty core emerges to harmonize with the other exemplary flavors. Foot smoke is cool and aromatic, with soft spice notes.
Among the intensifying greatness of flavor and experience in the second half of the cigar is the only minor detraction of removal the lower band is unfortunately difficult to pry. Hearty wrapper takes no damage, but this fair review must mention the one negative among the overwhelmingly positive. The larger Kafie 1901 band consistently proves easier to remove although could be improved to a lesser degree.

All aspects improve and intensify to the end. Flavor is rich full medium on draw and even retrohale richens.

Nub down to a half inch, enjoying the nutty smoke aroma rising from the cigars head.

Post smoking experience: clean, no smokiness but after flavor oily sweetness lingers for 3 days on palette, if you can possibly last that long before indulging in another Kafie 1901 Sumatra.
